This past week has been fairly eventful. I'm disappointed in myself for not posting every day but I take solace in the fact that my excuse is being too tired after working all day several days.
Just a quick recap:
I dyed my hair a brighter red.
Found out I was getting promoted within the next couple of months.
A new love interest is on the horizon.
Decided to move again at the end of the year.
Planned a trip to Denver for my birthday.
Planned a trip to Texas for the summer.
Planned a trip to Paris for next summer.
A coworker gave me a beautiful rose that made my day. (Not connected to the love interest. Just a nice gesture.)
I finally rearranged my room so I would have a bedside table. That's obviously the bedside of a classy lady! Haha. Despite my bibliophilia, it's taken me ages to read The Catcher in the Rye. Sadly, I'm unimpressed. I despise the antagonist. A good book in spite of my qualms with it.
Oh! And, I found the only hat I own stored away in a box I didn't unpack. (Green Lantern is my favorite super hero.)
Right now I live with my sister and her boyfriend. I help them pay bills and such until they get to be financially stable. Yesterday my sister's boyfriend's parents came to visit us. They brought us a 32" tv, a surround sound, and a bunch of junk food. I adore his parents.
I do not adore this weather we're having right now though. At least now when I have to work and drive in it. We're having a snowpocalypse today. I've been singing Do You Wanna Build a Snowman to my sister since I got home from work. I'm fairly certain she's ready to kill me. When I lived further south I used to think snow was this majestic weather. Mostly because it usually only snows at home a few times a year. Now I'm not snow's biggest fan. (That spiffy green car is what I get to be chauffeured around in all the time.)
It's only Sunday so hopefully the week passes by quickly. I managed to land an actual day off from both jobs, and on a Friday at that. Covering other people's shifts always comes in handy. I'm going to spend my day downtown with my sister reeking havoc and spoiling everyone I love. I've recently theorized that I'm a workaholic and needlessly stress over money due to my childhood spent in poverty. So I'm working on calming myself and reminding myself to rest. I hope everyone had a good weekend and has a really great week!
