Remember once upon a time when I used to blog on SG? Oh, those were the dayyyss. Ha.
I have been in a serious state of transition and sort of struggling with it all. I really can't stand small towns; I am not cut out even for a temporary stint.
Since I've moved:
I have not won at trivia, ever.
I've started a local women's music night
I've secured more than $150K for my job (apparently; they told me these numbers yesterday)
I went back to Boston for the first time in years
I got a really amazing sea siren/mermaid chick tattooed on my right calf that took a couple sittings... That calf is getting delightfully close to finished
I got published both in print and online, and I haven't been trying to get published left and right.
I was there for a friend's first testosterone shot (he is transitioning FTM-- that's a pretty wild moment!)
I saw Emily Wells perform for the first time and it was amazing
I have decided on a cohesive way to refinish some of my furniture YAYYYYYY
I reconnected with some old friends
Some bad things have happened that I don't want to talk about
Also, I've been having a tooth ache.
I want to put up some photos but my internet is being an asshole!

Congrats!
I have a new job, still with the state but working for a different agency. Any new job is stressful, but it's going fairly well. I'm racing this year (after a decade's hiatus), although a combination of multiple rain-outs and some mechanical issues have caused me to only make one race night thus far.
Glad to have you back in this country! Hope the good stuff wins the day.
