I mean, she's making mincemeat out of Drumph and his doofus lawyers, laying really wicked burns on all the morons trying to insult her on Twitter, and forcefully disabusing stereotypical notions of sex industry workers in the bargain. She's amazing. 🙂
jozsef:
I did see the clip of her on Jimmy Kimmel's show and she was very funny. Mincemeat in this context is very appealing, I must say. 😉

Perfect antidote for all that negative stuff. smile

It's one of those weird things that if I see a TV show enough times I just start noticing that stuff. For example, I'm not even a fan of CSI, but I know that the creator is Anthony Zuiker. I've just seen the show enough times that the name is imprinted on my brain!

Thanks for lovin' on my Back Room set!

Lost Weekend

Not really - I did get a fair amount of stuff done this weekend. Just seems insignificant compared to the vast amount of work yet to be done. C'est la vie. smile

Have an off-site training class Monday-Wednesday, which means getting up earlier than usual, the upshot being I shouldn't be online right now. Ah well... surreal

Freedom!

Well, for a few days anyway. smile
I don't have to go back to the office til Tuesday. Was originally planning to go to a music festival, but ended up deciding to stay home. I have no idea what I'll do over this time - hopefully there will be at least some fun involved!

Edit: Mini-vacation 2008 is not off to an auspicious start. Just...

Time

The best thing about Web 2.0 is the virttually limitless opportunities it offers for self-expression and social interaction. This is also the worst thing about Web 2.0. There are so many opportunities, so many venues, it's incredible easy to get spread too thin. I'm spending far too much time online versus offlline, and still not really doing justice to any of my online presences....

Trust me, I am kicking myself for not signing up for the budget plan when I had the chance!!! When I moved in here my landlord told me that the heat would go as high as about $200 a month, and in return in december, january and february he knocks $100 off the rent to help counteract the extra cost. So, I decided paying an extra $100 for a few months wasn't a big deal when normally my gas bill would run only about $15 when it's not cold out. Ummm.... yeah right, $200 my ass!!! Even into may my bill was over $200 bucks!

UGH.

BSG

I came to the party late, but have grown to love it. I've seen all of this year's episodes so far but I'm only up through the start of 2.5 in the DVD's, so keeping past and present straight in my head is gettng to be even more of a challenge than usual. biggrin

One issue that has me a little confused is how the...

That's the thing, I'm not even stressed out about my financial situation with being unemployed because I know I can cover my bills, no problem. But I guess without the distraction of having that job to go to, or the distraction of a relationship, I am being forced to really look at myself head on and figure out what the hell I should be doing with my life right now. The past year has been a very settled, relaxed time for me (for the most part), and now I feel like someone shook my little snowglobe world up again. It's good, I think, but scary all at the same time.....
tie:
oh good shows are always something to look forward to. there's nothing like that going on at the moment. at least not for me. but yeah. i have enough from going to shows at the moment smile time to relax

have a nice weekend.

Perfection

An unwelcome trend I've noticed around here lately is an increasing number of heavily photoshopped sets. I understand that the numbers game is very difficult and getting a set approved can be a daunting task, but to me, relying on software manipulation of a model's physical appearance is the antithesis of what this site ought to be about. One of the primary tenets of...

I just started watching Monk and been taping the re-runs with my DVR to try and see as many as I can, do they ever say in the 1st season why this OCD thing happened? I mean did he have it already and his wife was cool with it, or did he get it bad when she died. I am guessing the lader, cause he had to leave being a cop for it but I am not sure.

I have House season 1 and 2 on DVD but I take them with everywhere I go on a plane and have seriously messed them up badly. I gotta re-buy them and get season 3 now. This summer is gonna kill me waiting and they didn't even show previews, damnit!

I know whatcha mean about the whole "porn star" look...it is kind of weird, but I think SG is just trying to include every one, ya know? Like you said, we are all different...and that's what SG is all about! smile biggrin

The Mystical Powers Of Rock & Roll

Had a great time seeing Springsteen in Dallas tonight, even if it is going to make going to work in a few hours quite painful. You never know how much longer the E-Street Band will remain intact, and this was the first time I've ever seen them from the floor, so I'm really glad I went. smile

The "Myth" Of Global Warming

It's 2:30 AM here on the Great Plains as I scribble this blog entry, and tornados are still being spawned as we speak. I've lived here my whole life - it used to be an extremely rare occasion to have a late-night tornado. Usually, at least in the past, the sun going down takes away a lot of the energy...

Desperation

Is it just me, or is Hillary Clinton starting to look more and more like Reese Witherspoon's character in Election?

One day it's "we must not disenfranchise the voters of Michigan and Florida", the next day it's "well, you know, most so-called pledged delegates are not legally bound to follow the results of their state's primaries and I would encourage them all to vote...

I'm reposting this from my myspace blog entry last night. It's been really, really hard, but we're hanging in there.

Endings

My dad, Hubert Houston Ramsey, passed away earlier this evening. I can't say much now, both because words aren't coming easily and because I have to get mom home. I'll just repeat that he was the most good, loving, fundamentally decent man I've ever...

thank you so much for your comment on my self shot set.

this may be a little delayed, but i'm very sorry for the loss of your father. i couldn't imagine losing my own; i had such a difficult time losing my grandfather in december. i hope you have found ways to continue your father's life in your actions and the lessons you teach others.

Trouble

So, I haven't been around here much lately. What's happened is my dad has been in the hospital for the past week. Things have basically gone from OK to bad to really bad to possibly on their way back toward OK. If you'd like to read more of the details, you can go to the last couple of entries in my myspace blog....
