I'm going to get a tattoo. My family is against tattoos out of principle, you know, the "why would you mark up your body? It makes you look dirty," kind. Even my sensei thinks tattoos aren't a good idea. But i want to modify my body, have art that i love and that no one has on my body to signify things i should be reminded of and feelings i want to keep in my mind for the rest of my life. plus it'll be badass.
i don't get the stigma that's attached to tattoos, i find them a great way of expressing one's self and, in a more social way, it creates a way for people to talk and bond with each other simply by talking about the tattoos they have, want to get, have seen, etc.
