Good time of the day SG comminity! My Skype lesson got canceled and the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest hasn't started yet, so I decided I'd do a @bloghomework since I love doing them A LOT :) @rambo @missy @lyxzen
Today I'm going to tell you about my favorite author, which I thought I didn't have until a few weeks ago. The Shining, Salem's Lot, The Dark Tower series, The Green Mile series, Under the Dome... Does it ring the bell? Of course it does! Who doesn't know Stephen King? Well, he's the true master of the horror genre! Before I started reading his books I thought "Naah! How can somebody get scared by just reading a book? Would never happen to me!", but maaaaan, every time I read King's book, I get so scared at some points throughout it, I close the book and put it aside and never return to it until the next day, that's how cool he is! I didn't read that many, probably because university and work left me with not enough time to read, but my goal is to read his every book.
And I also promised to tell about my favorite book which happens to be "The Martian Chronicles" by Ray Bradbury. As much as I love space and cosmology and everything that is connected with it, this one is my all time favorite! I can read it over and over and over again! Mostly because it is not that much about space and invading Mars, but because it is about human nature, which sometimes can get very nasty. This book made me think of whether we should explore Mars and send expeditions there (well, pretty up-to-date with all that NASA and Mars One projects)...I got to thinking we shouldn't, because we will spoil and destroy everything there, but at the same time I want humanity to explore space and get as far as other galaxies. Well, If you haven't read this book, I definitely recommend that you should! And if you read it, write in the comments, what do you think.
P.S. It's ThighHighThursday, so I made a little self-set a few days ago, I'm gonna post one pic from it here, tell me if you want to see more pics from it. And sorry for the quality, I did it with my phone. See ya later ;)
