just a few words about MY view of SG and some ideas about posting in different places on this site.
I have spent a good deal of time on message boards the last couple of years and have come to the following conclusions:
That the Boards are like a bar, every one is welcome to come and post what they think or have to say... this includes the right to call names, act like a jerk and be insulting...
The Groups are like being at a table of people with similar interests or what ever and discussion tends to be about a limited scope of topics. These are places that are formed by people and run by a mod who makes the choice about who gets in, and what should be talked about. The Mod sets the rules and enforces them.
the Journals are like your house. People come by to say hello and leave a message or what ever. These messages should be posted with the thought that you are entering that persons space.
Awhile back I had someone post a insulting message in my journal, I responded by telling that person that they were not welcome to post in my journal..... I feel very strongly that if you want to insult me in public, or in the semi-public area of the groups, that's fine... speak your mind, let everyone read it... but don't come to my place an leave nasty messages.....
that is all.
Next time? I'm still working on the Movies as I recall... then I might get onto talking TV.

Oh hell yeah! I love the Oak Street so much. I've seen just bits and pieces of the Americanized version. When is it?
