Here is my sweet sphynx cat, named Koshmar (literally that can be translated as "Nightmare"), and the short name is Kosh. He's a bit more than 3 years old and seems to have Don and Canadian roots in the family. Kosh is a very sensitive cat, a smart one like any sphynx kitty is and a lazy as any other kitty is. He is playful and thinly feeling creature, he knows how to love and accept, and at the same time, he can seriously be offended by someone he considers a traitor. For some of his habits and deeds, I am ready to kill him, honestly - but I know that any person sometimes feels like this in relation to a pet, friend or even a family member. Ah, this type of love, when you are ready to kill those you love for their actions, and at the same time, you are ready to forgive and hug them endlessly! I love Kosh no matter what.
Here is a couple of photos that @aonbheannach took while she lived with him when I've been abroad due to the work questions, by the way. I know that many people do not like sphinxes for their exotic appearance - but I think these cats are beautiful and interesting. Sometimes Kosh even has funny eyebrows and mustaches, which can fall out later :)
When Kosh was younger, he acted like a parrot, and often climbed onto my back or shoulder.
Kosh loves to play with feathers and sponges for dish-washing. He finds them and tries to nibble. Of course, then it turns out badly, so I try to prevent such cases. And, by the way, he has an unusual reaction to valerian, as, unlike other cats, Kosh does not lose his mind on it; however, the smell of valerian can really distraact him or calm him down when he is nervous. Sometimes he bites his tongue, and it would seem sad, but it looks very funny because Kosh can't put his tongue back in his mouth :)
Some time ago, my cat became a father! The Canadian sphynx of @aonbheannach gave birth to four kittens. Right after that, I finally managed to castrate my cat. That was both useful for his health and for my patience, as Kosh was a heavy scent-marker. The kittens were born with some fur, and later I learned that such thing was a common and wide spread deal, and such cats are called "sphynx brush". But they are nevertheless so cute!
Now Kosh is much calmer and warmer. And, of course, he loves to eat. At various times, he loved to eat even kiwi and strawberries! I try to pamper him with caution, because I worry about his health and his stomach, but still I can not resist of pampering my beloved kitty. He's my best friend, my baby, my level of temper. I'm happy to have Kosh by my side.
Recently the number of my pets finally enlarged, as I got two snails. i know that snails are hermaphrodites, but despite of that I named them as a boy and a girl, Josephine and Napoleon. They tend to grow bigger soon!
I’m not sure if I’m going to get anyone else in the near future, because even modest and unpretentious animals need care, responsibility and time. Anyway, I am happy to have my pets with me. They teach me to be a better person.
And what about you? Do you have pets? Feel free to speak up!
Kisses,
I.D.
