Have you ever watched a movie where a character opens up a safe to grab stacks of cash and different IDs, or has a backpack full of stuff for a quick getaway? It's commonly referred to as a "go bag," as in, "grab the bag and go." Well I have one π. I'm poor, so it isn't full of bricks of currency from different countries, or multiple passports and IDs, but it does allow me to pick up and go camping for a weekend at a moment's notice... or live in the woods indefinitely π . So here's a brief packing list, with pictures! π
550 chord (or parachute chord)- wide variety of uses, from building temporary shelters, to using as fishing line. This isn't labeled, but I think it's 100 ft.
2 collapsible lanterns, about the size of a can of soda, and ultra bright, plus a compass.
This is a fun one. This is a multifunctional e-tool (excavation). With the sections put together, it can be a shovel, axe, fishing knife, or fishing spear. There's also a compass and fire starter built into the handle.
Various field manuals
Sleeping bag
2 tents, which can sleep up to 4 people
And a mess kit for cooking
As you can see, it all fits, with plenty of room for spare clothes, dry goods, etc.
And there's even a medic's bag on the outside.
Snooze wanted to say hi πΈ
I haven't weighed it, but my guess would be it's somewhere around 50 lbs., not too bad. If you've read this far, I agree: it's not very interesting, and yes, I am very bored π€£π€£π€£
