I'm 39 years old, and have never had a passport... until today. You might be asking, "But, Mike, I've read about some of your exploits overseas, in your younger days. How is that possible?". I'll tell you. I don't think I'm giving away any big State Secret by telling you that American service members don't need a passport to travel abroad. Our military IDs served as our passports, and we could use them to travel anywhere we wanted, service related or not. I never took advantage of that while I was in the Army, and have always regretted it. I've always wanted to travel, and not just to places where I had to uphold decades-old ceasefires, or worry about being shot or blown up at any given time. Within the past year, someone finally gave me the kick in the ass I needed to stop daydreaming about travelling, and start actively taking steps to do it. No matter what else happens, I'll always be grateful to her for that 🥺
Also, this thing is waaay fucking tinier than it looks on TV 😂
