Okay, well we finally finished my oldest's room and are almost done with the middle child's room...we just have to paint the trim..although I do have to admitt that I did a sub-par job on his room....I just didn't care at that point...after three days of slaving away over one room, I was just ready to be done....fortunately he will appreciate it no matter what it looks like! lol The youngest's room is going to be soooooooooooo cute! It's almost finished...I'm just waiting on a bed canopy to come in the mail, and we need to get a pink rug and some curtains to use as a divider between her room and our living room...don't want those toys migrating out into my living room! lol I HAD bought some curtains off of ebay, but stupid me..I measured the entrance wrong and the curtains are WAY too small...so I ended up hanging them on her loft bed to make a bit of a play house underneath...so it all worked out in the end...
This is a picture of her closet door...the main bedroom door looks the same, but this one is better! LOL
We moved the chandelier from the dining room into this room for two reasons...it looks kick ass and secondly...our youngest's loft bed is right up there where the chandelier would be and you know...just too tempting for a 7 yr old! lol
And this is a pic of her window frame. I tried to get one from across the room, but the sun was too bright and it wasn't showing the detail of the paint very well.
And there ya have it!
P.S. If you read my last journal you are probably noticing that the trim and celing are not in red and black....after spending three hours on one door I decided the trim needed to be solid black! lol Vanny did try to roll red onto the black ceiling, but it seriously looked evil...the room looked cute until he started in with the red paint...then there was like this feeling of intending doom...it looked like a masacre had taken place in there and nobody bothered to clean up the ceiling! SO....since I myself would have been scared to sleep in there, we decided to paint it the same black semi-gloss as the trim....and it turned out well!
