Working at the nursing home today was kinda depressing. Most of my favorite residents are now in wheelchairs!
First I saw Mr. Cornell come in with his son wheeling him in and I was almost heart broken when I saw him. He remembered me and waved smiling back. He musta been pretty handsome when he was younger because man...his eyes are a piercing light blue plus he still looks pretty handsome to me anyway
Then after so long I finally see Mr. Tatge. He's been moved to live downstairs I noticed his face was much thinner. But his wife said he was getting better, hopefully he really is. He's been the nicest to me since I first started working there. I'd probably cry if I ever found out something happened to him.
There's several other favorites of mine....The Ruhls, always look for me so they can sit in my section. Mr. Yin usually asks me about school and encourages me . Mr. Locker, about to be 100 years old next year and he's in great health, still optimistic. I've talked to him about his life and he just seems like he has accomplished everything I want to.
Fuck. I don't know if I can ever quit that job, because I'll miss the residents too much. But the one thing that makes me hate that place is the worthless piece of shit supervisor Molly.
