I am truly enjoying this having roommates deal. Back home it was neither necessary nor affordable to move out of the parents house for my undergrad so I missed out. But here in London I get to experience all the perks with maybe a bit more maturity. I am after all not an undergrad anymore.
Last friday we dragged a grabage can designed to look like a robot around town. His name is Steven. He looks pretty respectable, nice hate, mad scrowl, and he even lights up and has a (bad) voice. One of my roomates had us put it everywhere so she could take photos of it with her new D7. It worked at the starbucks, went skating, got a tat and of course hit the bar scene. Roommates put it up as a blog. http://robotontherun.blogspot.com/2010/02/first-day.html
Now it is reading week and it is just me and one other roomate. Everyone else went to their respective homes for the week. Since I am about $600 worth of plane tickets away from home I stayed here. No worries everyone didn't bother to lock their doors. The fools. i know have had the chance to do the stereotypical collage pranks, and I jumped at the opportunity.
So one room is completely wrapped in plastic. I mean the pencils are wrapped individually in a pencil holder thats wrapped on a desk that is wrapped. Another room is filled, not completely, but to quite some extent with various balloon rejects. (rejects are cheap you can by them by the pound but they sure do come out funny).
We weren't to sure how the third room mate would react to any pranks, so all we did in his room was spell his name with on the floor with a bunch of tapped together beer bottles. B/c names have power you know
Kinda lame maybe, but the other two rooms more than make up for it.
So yeah fun times all around!
