Wow. It's been a while since I have updated, hasn't it?
Well, a lot has been going on here in the Land of Iggy, also known as Charlotte, NC. I did a fetish shoot not too long ago which was an incredible amount of fun to do. I forgot how much I loved being in front of the camera. I don't do so much shooting anymore, which is really quite shitty, don't you think?
The boy and I broke up...again. We really have quite a tumultuous relationship. He's so magnetic, but he's bad for me at the same time. I just can't go down the same rabbit hole that I went down ten years ago, you know? I can't get into drugs again and he has been delving further and further into that lifestyle. We're not 21 anymore. It's no longer cute when you're hungover and strung out on a Sunday morning. We're past the age of romanticizing the life of the artist junkie. There was a point where we were drinkng every night and I would hate myself the next day. I would look at the recycling can full of spent PBR cans and just shake my head. I like having a beer now and then. Hell, I like to get drunk every week or so. But every night? It got to be a bit much. I asked him to cut back or to stop and he couldn't. Of course now that I'm gone he insists that he'll change, but he also said he would last time we got back together.
So here I am. I guess it's best that I pick myself up and dust myself off.
And now, for a barrage of pictures.
Here in the United States our Supreme Court decided against hearing any of the appeals filed by states after gay marriage was legalized in those states. You see, some of the states were none to happy with their individual courts striking down gay marriage bans left and right so the states filed appeals with the Supreme Court in hopes to stop marriage equality (something about Jesus...I don't know). Well, since the Supreme Court has chosen not to hear any of those cases it basically renders their appeals null and void, therefore paving the way for marriage equality everywhere! I wore my pro gay marriage t shirt in honor of that ruling!!
That's a drawing I've been working on. I'm not quite sure if it's finished yet or not. I like the rough sketch quality of it, but I'm still on the fence about how to complete it.
As always, I've been busy with the puppies!! That's one of my favorites. Her name is Twinkle Toes. I call her that because she has one foot that only has two toes and her dew claw on it. It looks like she has a lobster hand!! It was tough naming her. For a while I wanted to call her 'Rock Lobster' but I figured Twinkle Toes would be more palatable to potential adopters. Sometimes, I forget that not everyone is as weird as me.
As for the SG homework? I have a few favorite fictional characters, but I will share one with you.
JESUS!! lol jk. I won't bring my atheism into this.
In all seriousness though, one of my favorite fictional characters is (drum roll please...)
Roger, from 'American Dad'. Honestly, I prefer 'American Dad' to 'Family Guy'. I think it's wittier and has less of that nonsensical humor that is indicative of 'Family Guy'. I just love Rogers over the top sass and attitude. I also love the social commentary that is expressed by his own character and the characters he dresses up as.
It's all too true what he says about brunch, isn't it?
