So it appears as if I am going to be stuck in the house for the next few days, or at least until the snow melts off the roads. In case any of you are not familiar with the Greater Charlotte area, they're not so used to experiencing this much snow down here. If it does snow it's usually only a dusting or an inch or it's usually gone by noon. Not so this time. We got about six inches of snow, followed by a few inches of ice, and then another few inches of snow. And it's still coming down, albeit lightly.
When I took Cinnamon for her walk this morning we tread upon a slush sandwich of sorts. The roads are damn near impassible, save for those fuckers with four wheel drive. I'm strangely okay with being housebound. I have several sewing projects I can finish and my friend in Chicago sent me a book in the mail that came yesterday. It's called 'Flappers: Six Woman of a Dangerous Generation' and it's about the lives of Diana Cooper, Nancy Cunard, Zelda Fitzgerald, Josephine Baker, Tamara de Lempika, and Tallulah Bankhead (my personal favorite).
I was supposed to trek up to New Jersey this weekend with the rescue. I was supposed to leave today in fact. but I have a looming feeling that that won't be happening. What angers me is that I was supposed to see Skinny Puppy in New York tomorrow night, but between the weather here and it's journey up north to massacre the yankees with layer upon layer of snow, I think I'll stay here until it's officially all blown over.
It's okay. I have books and crafts and Spotify and photo sets of unbelievably hot women to ogle.
I like taking pictures of myself right out of the shower, when I am getting dressed. I'm not wearing make up then, but I don't think I care.
I made an owl pillow yesterday. Isn't it cute?
So I think I am going to get on the 'vlog' band wagon. Ask me any question and I will do my best to answer it!! I'm a pretty honest and open person, so nothing is off limits. However, you may not always like the answers to the questions you ask.
