i found my calling in life today, due to a great article on eMedicine and a video blog on youtube.
i want to be an endocrinologist and work with intersexed and transgendered people. i think this is a group in society that has few people on their team, and is ultimately more rewarding than yanking bullets out of people in a chop shop.
i want to find new treatments for androgen insensitivity syndrome.
i want to help XXYs.
i want to find a suppressant for Prader-Willie syndrome.
i want to help the ambiguous decide where they belong.
i want to be the doctor with a heart.
i want to find cures.

redheadedleague:
I was talking to someone just a few weeks ago who told some horror stories about the poor medical care transgendered people often get. This is a noble and good thing.
