So far, all I have for it is Legend of Zelda: the Minish Cap (which I just beat), and a demo version of Metroid Prime Hunters. It's great to take to work; it relieves a lot of frustration.
I forgot about the timed Darknut fight, but I do remember having to do three of them. The end was very similar to Ocarina of Time's end as I recall? Palace crumbling, have to get out before a certain time?
I should just finish my walkthrough and find out already...
I was a pussy about fighting Vaati... I got down to like 3 hearts and no fairies and said "fuck it" and turned the game off, went to my computer and visited good old Gamefaqs. I really shouldn't give up so easily. Even though I eventually won It's like he beat me anyway.
Personally I'm mad for those collection side-quests, especially after the Nintendo gallery in Wind Waker. I don't like that to complete your figurines set in Minish Cap you basically have to find thousands and thousands of rupees and buy a zillion sets of 30 mysterious shells so you have enough to trade. There aren't enough shells available in the game. Maybe there's a secret I'm missing.
Speaking of secrets I'll give you the infinite money trick, maybe you know it already (spoilered in case you want to try to figure it out yourself, but the clue in the game isn't very helpful):
Use the mole mitts to dig the ground just to the left of the door to Link's house and a 20 rupee piece appears every time. Just keep going in and back out of Link's house and keep on diggin'. Takes forever but at least it gives you a way to finish your figurines set.
As for my fantasy, I found that the fact I was writing it and not just thinking it made me push my imagination to the limit
