Little Eric continues to fascinate. One of his Christmas gifts was a plastic box with different shapes cut in the sides - circle, star, triangle, square - and four shaped blocks to push into the box. When the baby puts a block through, the box plays music, triggered by the vibration. Well, Eric didn't quite get that far, but he did figure out that hitting the box with the blue block made it play music. As hitting things that make noise is one of his favorite pastimes, he did this repeatedly, always using the blue block. So then he picked up another block, and hit it with the blue one. It didn't work! He tried three times, but it didn't play music! Was the blue block even working? To find out, he tapped the blue block on the box again. Sure enough, the box made noise. But it wouldn't work on the other block!
I'm not sure if he figured out the true source of the music yet.

I figured out the DSL problem, it was as simple as holding in the reset button on the back of the router for a little while. When we first did it and put in my ISP username and password into the router's settings, it didn't work, but as I suspected, mom had just typed my password incorrectly. I'm on DSL once again, hurrah!
