Well first I would like to hear how you would define society and culture. And who's society and culture exactly? There is no monolithic culture. Is it corporate culture, the culture found in military bases, college, religious, secular, West African, GLBT, Canadian, Southern, Inuit, Navaho, etc etc.
It's a pretty broad brush you plan to wield.

I think you're going to have to narrow your topic.
