Finally, I'm updating, I don't really have the time, but I'm tired of looking at my own blog!
Yesterday I was at the dentist, and if that wasn't bad enough, while stuck in the chair I was subjected to "Harden My Heart" by Quarterflash.
Is there a song that if it comes on the radio you cannot change the station fast enough?
Last week I was in Montreal & Quebec City, and while Montreal was certainly interesting and has a lot going for it, I MUCH preferred the smaller and much more charming Quebec City. I also learned something very important! I learned that although I have travelled alone in the past and greatly enjoyed it...doing it for 8 days (which was really too long for these two cities I feel), in a place where I don't speak the language (French rules the day here), was a really bad idea. I got very bored and kind of lonely! For days and days, the only time I spoke was to say "bonjour" and "merci". I think it would have been a much better trip had I had somewhere there pal around with. I will definitely travel alone again, but not for that many days when I don't speak the language.
Okay, here are some pics....
Somewhere between Seattle & Montreal I developed a cold and I bought some tea for my sore throat at this cute place on St. Denis in Montreal...
one of the many murals I saw, this one was a couple of blocks from my B & B in Montreal...
Although I'm not religious in anyway, I love churches and religious icons. I know this isn't too exciting, but I like this picture of some candles at the Notre Dame Cathedral in Montreal.
Now this is a front door!!! This was in Quebec City.
A very cool mural in Quebec City...
another charming building in Quebec City.
me being a total tourist at the Citadelle in Quebec City. C'mon, he walked right past with his adorable mascot, how could I pass that up?!
Sorry, I didn't put much effort into this post, but I need to leave the house in 15 minutes and I'm still in my pjs
