it's been a while.
i've been lost in the working world
but I've returned,
no more bitter than before,
just a little older.
those bastards will never take me alive.
anyone hiring?

summer is on it's way.
i feel a deep need to drive
and to sleep outside.

i have to move soon,
leave behind my inviting solitude
and the ghosts i've become accustomed to....

....and now it's Saturday and the sun's still out and it's 76. Enjoy it while we can. We're in the 2 week window between cold as hell and opressively hot here in Chicago. i still love this town...get one of those hula-hula lamps that spin, play music and give off a warm glow for your desk (at least until the boss confiscates it because it doesn't match with the fluorescent death lighting beaming down on you from above....) yea for spring in Chicago... smile

Have fun.......

i can only assume that the weather changes are happening because of the fact that our entire magnetic field is in the early processes of flipping over entirely. this hasn't happened in hundreds of years. the jet stream is gone, the worlds waters are starting to slow down and warm up, theres hurricanes on an ocean that has never had one, california, etc, etc, etc.

almostgreen:
wait what the hell is happening. serisouly please explain in detail
herxredxdeath:
Our magnetic field has started a cycle of flipping over completly. The north magnetic pole will shift to antarctica and the south magnetic pole will shift to the north pole.

During the last 20 million years the fossil records show 60 reversals, and that the between reversals seems to be slowly decreasing and getting shorter. Thel ast one was about 250,000 years ago.

It currently has a strength at the Earth's surface of 0.6 Gauss. Whatever the hell that is. But long term observations show that it is decreasing at a rate of about 0.07 percent per year. So, in 1500 years from now, it will only be about 35 percent as strong as it is today, and in 4000 years it will have a strength of practically zero.

The magnetic field is a barrier, shielding us from radioactive cosmic rays and charged particles from the Sun. Scientists assume that half way through each 'flip' cycle, the field goes to a value near zero. This would let cosmic rays freely penetrate to the Earth's surface and cause mutations.

It would also let the aurora borealis occur at any latitude.

I don't know why the weather is changing so much, but this could be one culprit.

Someone also told me about a very large planet that is supposedly on its way near the Earth in it's oval shaped orbit. There are ancient records that indicate this happening, and the effect it had on our planet seemed sizeable.

So maybe that might explain it...

I'll try to find out more about that.

did you hear about the hurricane on the atlantic? first in recorded history. that's a little weird.

daweenis:
Yeah kinda weird...Hey, been busy lately so I've been flyin' under the radar. Like the new pic. They have hurricanes but good weather is headin' our way. Keep 'em crossed.... smile
