Today went alright. The first few hours were training, which meant following another courier around and trying to make sure I understood everything he was doing. After that I was given a radio and sent to work on my own at a very low intensity. I was slow due to poor navigation and had to ask the dispatcher to repeat himself several times, but as long as they don't fire me I think I'll be competent after a month or two.

Get a detailed street atlas if you don't have one already. One of those little books people keep in their cars works really well.
