Ok, so I had a birthday party for my 6 year old son on the weekend and we had the reptile guy over and he brought over a whole bunch of creepy crawly things for the kids. It was a hoot, there were 11 kids over and it was a zoo, made a SpongeBob cake for him and played a bunch of games with a SpongeBob theme. I love SpongeBob and to that end I don't get the big uproar about the show, he's gay or whatever. HELLO, he is a walking, talking cartoon sponge who lives in Bikini Bottom, works at the Krusty Krab making Krabbie Patties, lives in a Pineapple and has a pet snail named Gary. Yeah him being gay or not is something that needs to be worried about.
So, back to my story, on the invitations I mentioned that there would be the reptile guy at the party, just so everyone knew and one of the mom's mentioned that she would like to stay in case her son got scared. No sweat, sure hang out, there some beer in the fridge, I have met her couple of times at school functions. As it turns out her son loved the reptile guy and told me that he loves the reptiles and we should go and see him at his place which is really cool. Man, did his mom start to blush, as it turns out he has been to see the reptiles before, she just wanted to hang out (turns out she is a single mom), how sweet is that? She has a hottub too, so I think I will be seeing her again.
Another funny kid story, I took my 4 year old son to the doctor. I have 3 kids 8 (girl), 6 (boy) and 4 (boy), their mother and I split 2 years ago, still good friends, just grew apart. So he has had a wart on his foot and has had treatement every week for like 6 weeks, I swear they just love seeing him so they are dragging it out as long as possible. So the doctor doing the treatment is a woman in her late 20s and Fin has a total crush on her and flirts with her the whole time. Tells her he like her hair etc. It kills me, so she asked what he wants to be when he grows up and he looks at her totally dead faced and says "a teenager" she lost it, what a gas.
