Hi,
So, I took part in the Chew Valley arts trail again this year. My 4th year I think. Went pretty well. Had a good turn out. Sold quite a few bits and bobs. Mainly comics which was good. Was pretty tiring though.
Here's my table:
I also had some framed prints hung up too.
I had a real stressful week in the lead up to it all. So much went wrong and I had to keep driving back and forth to certain places to get things sorted. It all worked out in the end though.
I was doodling throughout the weekend. I ain't gonna scan and post them all so here's one page of shiz:
I've been thinking a whole lot about my tattoo. I'm really fucking excited about it. SeaLion came to visit me at the arts trail and kept me company for a while. She mentioned she'd quite like an octopus tattoo. This to me seemed like a really cool idea. There's an SG (I forget her name) with an awesome octopus on the bottom of her back. It looks amazing! I kinda want one too now. Sorreee SeaLion. We can wrestle for the rights if you like.
It's good doing things like the arts trail. It's a nice lil confidence boost hearing what other people think of your work. It always surprises me that people are so positive. Makes me realise that I really don't do enough of the self promotion side of things. I havn't even sent any Ronin Dogs to any publishers. I'm just terrible at it. It's the same old story of lacking confidence. But I am getting there. It's just takes a long time with me. I'm like the tortoise in that story. What's it called the one with the Tortoise and the Hare. I forget. Tango and Cash?
Got the Birmingham comic con this weekend. I really have no idea what's happening. I'm going, but I'm not sure for how long or how I'm getting there or who I'm going with. I'll just wing it as always. There's a shit load of people to hangout/drink with. Some from here on SG, others from the comic community and my regular chums as well. It should be awesomes!
I gotta say right now I'm so excited about British comics. I was just thinking the other day about all the artists I know that are producing really good stuff underground. There's all this amazing work simmering away just waiting for a break. I can't wait to see what happens. I just hope I can be a part of it.
Die Hard was on last night. That film is so great! I love it. I love the bit when all the SWAT guys go in all tough and one of them pricks his finger on a thorn bush and says ow! Hans is just one of the best baddies ever and John is one of the best heroes. It also reminds me of my Nan. She loves a bit of Die Hard. Yeah, my nan is pretty cool.
Anyway, that's all from me. Hope you all had a good weekend and that.

Love Die Hard - i go see it at the cinema at Christmas time
Send Ronin Dogs to publishers or I'll force you to sing for the whole night next time we do a Rock Band night. No expert guitar mode for you, no siree.
You have been warned.
