Epic times ahead.
Bristol comic convention this weekend which I'm really excited about. Also, a bit nervous about what to expect. It wasn't that long ago I was pretty much a recluse. Fear of crowds, eating in front of people, meeting new people. This weekend I'm going to be meeting so many new people. It's kinda scary but I know it'll be good times. I've gotten used to stepping out of my comfort zone in the last few years.
I also have a job interview on Tuesday. I decided to take a trip into Bath yesterday for fun and the 'Lush' store had a part-time position available. Deadline was today so I had to quickly get home sort out a CV/cover letter and head back in this morning. Luckily I found a blog by an ex employee of Lush which was all about getting a job there. I took her advice this morning. Walked into the store. Faked a bit of confidence. Subtly hinted about the products I use and how much I love the store. Charmed the staff a little bit and got asked for an interview straight away. They hadn't even looked at my CV, so I guess that's a good sign to start with. The interview is on Tuesday night. I have to make my own name badge. Think I can do that. It's also gonna be a group interview where you have to sell stuff to the group. I've done this before, but not for a while. I just hope I can keep my cool and not go a bit mental and try too hard. It's easy for me to get ahead of myself and get too excited. I'm basically still a child. Just with more hair.
Geez, things have been so tough the last few months. Job hunting has been really tough for a sensitive guy like me. Could things finally be looking up? I ain't gonna get too ahead of myself, but fingers crossed. And at least I'm making some sort of progress.
See you on the other side of the weekend. Hope you all have a good one!

Oh and dude - good luck for the comic con on the weekend., although you won't need it as you have a solid product right there. I sadly won't be attending as a) I'm working all fecking weekend, and b) I didn't get my arse in gear to buy a ticket & book the time off work. NEXT YEAR. DEFINATELY.
