tonight was my first night back to class since September. i was nervous going back, but i was right back in the groove pretty quickly. i lost some ground with the tai chi, i have a lot of catching up to do as far as the form goes. i was pretty surprised when we got to the Wing Chun portion of the class, i'd really expected the other guys to be pretty far ahead of me, but i didn't have much trouble dealing with them. at least, not in the Chi Sao techniques. i'm usually pretty aware of whether i'm getting away with techniques simply because i'm bigger or stronger, or whether i'm actually doing them right and have balance and a root, and i really felt i had a decent root tonight. so, i feel good about that.
on the downside, it seems Sifu got a cat while i was away. within 45 minutes my chest was tight and breathing was hard. i sneezed the whole way home. at first i thought i was just having trouble breathing because of smoking, and getting back into it after such a long absence, but then Bryan mentioned something about not having seen the cat, and then i knew what the problem was. this really sucks

So lazy...
I love cords too, once I find a pair that's decent I wear 'em constantly until they aren't cords anymore.
