long or small your entries are just the right size, except when they're too hard or too cold, then they aren't and then this bear came in to my bar and he was like did you realize you have this long run-on sentence and I just looked at the bear and was like wow he's right and he can talk. Badabing badaboom

here's my damn poem:

The Man, The Woman in the Airport

They whisper the painted brands to each other
the man turns the words into silly phrases
while his wife licks her lips
at the thought of sliding through the sky in that silver ingot.
They rub their hairless knees
as their seats ascend
and the curve of the...

You know what I want? Celeste asked.
What?
Vegetables. I would love some broccoli. I havent had broccoli in forever. Jonah smiled at her and it was a smile without pretension.
I honestly cant remember the last time I had broccoli either. Jonah actually couldnt remember the last time he had eaten a vegetable, but he didnt want to alarm her. The sky cracked. Jonah...

question of the day:
who, besides me, gets attracted to fictional characters, ie: jay gatsby, johnny the homacidal mainiac or vincent valentine? is this just my own personal malady?
scary:
yesterday, while shuffling about the town, i ran into an old friend. this kid just vanished about a year ago and bam, there he was, panhandling in a parking lot. sammy and i brought him...

ill have to check out that mitford book. it sounds like something i would be into. plus its an author ive never read before and theres never anything wrong with exploration.

i totally feel you on the crush on fictional characters. i think probably the root of the attraction is that an author will design characters with predominant traits they admire and despise. for instance if an author has a certain fetish or multiple attractions they would possibly write a character encompassing all the traits and exemplify them in a positive way creating the perfect character. ive often found characters in books to be personifications of perfection or derelection. i thik gatsby is a great example.

Yea you should definitely start riding! I'll be waiting for ya.

Burning Man starts next Monday.. I'll be leaving on saturday.. and it ends the following Monday, something like that.. and yes you most definitely have to have a ticket.. but prices @ the door are the most expensive. They encourage people to buy their tickets early, I got mine for 200... at the door i think they're 300$. =(

i am currently looking for someone to illustrate my novel therefore making it into a comic book. i rode my bike all over town putting fliers with (gasp) my home phone number on them looking for artists. luckily, i am a smartie and i put the marginally masculine name 'jay" on them so that creepy guys won't see that it is a girl's number. it's...

im glad you enjoyed the story, i have always liked to think of sepiroth as niether good nor evil, just neutral, a man with a part to play.

and putting deadlines on writing can be a bad thing, i did that to myself and havent even tried to write anything in years, it frustrated me too much. (although part of it was i was never happy with what i wrote).

oh yeah, and i almost forgot, i wanted to ask if i could use/borrow/steal, the term videogameslinging, i love it so much, and would love to use it.

AHHHH! I'm your current crush! I'm honored. You're mine too. He he. I've won a few art awards, but I don't think you want me. I'm a wiz at procrastination. Yeah, you gotta chill out, man. If I stress about my writing, I don't write as good.

free sample for your enjoyment while i'm gone:

"Where have you been?" Jonah whispered to her. Lily Red shrugged and told him to watch.
The people, Their bodies. Most of them were turned away from Jonah, watching the band, but he could see it happen in their arms and fingers. Their fingers were shortening, losing joints, becoming puffy and fat. Their already pale arms became...

Friends we are. Nice going on the 123 pages! Novel?

For GM foods I'd do a Google search -- you'll get an avalanche of activist ravings and some objective material mixed in -- and then go to www.bio.org for the industry perspective, which isn't as skewed as you might expect. It's all science, really, so they have nothing long-term to gain by lying.

Cheers, friend! smile

man, you found a type writer in a dumpster? Sweet. All I ever find is dinner. I may just take you up on that drink next time I'm on the other side of the country.
