tomorrow i am going down to the cat shelter in lodi to see if i could work there. it might be a sad job, but it will be a worthwhile job. i don't want to hate my current job. i just want to let it go and move on.
anyone who wants to hear a great story, go read amitabha's journal for today. why are people scared of other people who seem worse off than they are? perhaps because if they look too hard they may see human qualities in that person, and (gasp!) they may see some of themselves.
still at around 140 pages. i am not stressing too much. it's not like i am just going to stop writing the damn thing after all this work. it will come.
oh, yeah. my real name is jenica. hopefully i will get a more current pic up there, as that one was taken quite some time ago.
what are some of your crackpot theories? are you religious? wanna hear a poem?
The Pull of Place
Theres a train he wants to catch
but it wont leave here for awhile.
He waits
sick of the pill-sweetened
sick of the pull of place
he waits and he pushes symbols out in the dirt.
Meet him there, bright one
he sucks the tracks waiting for you
he tastes the metal of a thousand mile rail.
There are minutes, seconds drilling holes in the air
and you must decide
if he is worth the blisters
that will bloom over the dust like fire.

go for it,, im rooting for you.... Working in shelters can really suck,, but its worth while... alot of times there is suffering that you can alieveiate, that otherwise would go on, un checked. unfortunitly this meens you might have to witness things you would rather not,,,, someone has to bare witness if horrible acts of abuse and exploitation are going to come to an end.

you know i am always amazed at how fundamentalists will try to poke and prod any evidence to fit their arguments and "prove" what is overall a belief. and that is what pisses me off about them most of all... that and they always talk about fearing "god" i fucking hate that
