Today a sweet little bird fluttered in my window. To my great alarm, the bird began to speak! She told me that I'd best disregard the internet, because I had midterms tomorrow!
I said, "Silly bird, you are not with the times... I have many weeks until midterms! The days are long and I am happy, so leave me in peace bird!"
Then, the bird, revealed to me its darkest power: iCal.
"Holy Weeping Willows!" I said, not believing my eyes, "tomorrow, there are midterms! How could I have been so foolish to squander all this time that should been spent studying? How could it be that it's already the middle of February?!"
The bird told me that time flies when you are happiest; which of course is why the apparition of responsibility was appearing to me as a fluttering bird, instead of a mournful owl.
I said, "I preferred the owl; now just try to tear me down!"
