uh, well the summer world tour went pretty well. friday night i had about 15 or 20 kids, about 10 of whom were sitting even though i berated them throughout the show for sitting.
saturday i played to a packed bar of about 150 people, and everyone was rocking out, be it metalheads, stoner rockers with sideburns longer than i am tall, punk rockers and drunk ass people.
the police cover, message in a bottle, went over spectacularly, especially the second night, and on saturday harley and adonis got up to sing the metric system with me. except adonis was dancin around and he bumped the volume knob on my disto pedal and then someone accidentally kicked the switch on the pedal, so when it came time to bust the solo, harley yells "guitar" and then i played a totally country and western version of the guitar solo, due to the clean tone, phat humbuckers and excellent reverb on tim from anternicy;s marshall stack. a most rad amp, i might add, but since i use my tubescreamer, a multi-thousand dollar rig would be pointless.
on that note, kendra is moving to phoenix in about a week to help take care of grandpa bud and ge tthe fuck away form iowa's deathtrap of yes.
she will sell me her amp for a hundred bucks. 300 watts, solid state peavey bass amp with a crate cab, 2x15 subs. and a fantastic guitar sound, i might add. all my recording thus far has been with that amp, using the effects send as a line-volume output to the 4-track.
so anyway, this has been a tremendous weekend and i wish i didnt have to work tomorrow.
oh well, gotta save money form workin my ass off to buy an amp, a cd burner for the puter so my music will no longer be trapped on a computer with a 26.4k internet connection. and i write long songs.
so that's it, i guess. three cheers by the way for cheep grape soda and summer sausage and farmer's cheese. life does not ge tmuch better than that.
