okay, loyal readership (all one of me), i pose a rhetorical question:
does it ever seem to you like you're stuck in a members-only club (for example, a pay site) that you're supposedly a member of, only nobody seems to take you seriously?
i mean, i don't so much mind the invisible man treatment in newswire comments, but here's my gripe right now.
i read this article on kanye and fitty that was posted a few hours ago. it's actually quite long, but there doesn't seem to be any actual content. just yibberish and gnarfblast, through and through. back in the day, i submitted a news article abotu blink 182 breaking up, as i had read it elsewhere, but my article never got published, edited, and nobody else did either. it went as if it never occurred.
so now, someone creates a prifle in about five seconds, apparently sarcastically adds some nonsense about disliking porn on the site and conservative politics.
so here's the score: one laughably empty post about something that has already received too much newswire attention; one ghost town of a profile; one more person trying to do the stephen colbert routine, which ftr did to not nearly enough effect just a scant few months ago, before (i assume) the bile came back up and he had to vomit the pretend neocon bullshit out and just carry on as usual.
and i bet this person didn't have to pay for a membership, just so he or she could make newswire posts and probably make money.
feh.

If it's any consolation I've got your back.
