goddamn. been a few weeks.
well let's see.
we're going to record soon. we've been fucked aorund by a few asshols locally, but now we've found an engineer to record us, in our practice space, for the cost fo the computer hardware needed to multitrack on his computer.
it's pretty cool. plus one of the people who blew us off on this is loaning us microphones for free. very sweet.
also, this guy is the first person who has not only shown excitement and motivation at recoridng our album, but has actually suggested overdubbing multiple layers of guitars.
everyone else has been like "can't you just keep the scratch guitar tracks and call it good?" and we're like "no, stupid. we need doubled solos and layered synthesizers and intros and outros and acoustic guitar tracks and everythign that makes a good album better." and they quit on us every time.
um...
the weather is improving. last night it sprinkled a bit, i wish it would pour and wash all the winter filth away.
i was supposed ot hang out with a girl my now-former coworkers were tyring to set me up with but i haven't heard form anyone ina while and they never gave me her number. i need to do something about that, i think. a drinking/whatever-comes-along buddy would be cool right now.
i'm still looking for work. i'll be getting paid eventually for my friend's christian music bookign agency website, not to be named here for deceny reasons and out of respect to them.
i'll be 27 in a couple of months. that's scary. i hope i don't end up falling prey to some bizarre un-famous version of the 27 year old curse for musicians. whooo spooky.
uh so yeah. i'm done.
later.
