fell asleep to comcast tedium. periodically woken up by strange dreams where there are two, three, even four of me - me watching me watching me - like one where there is a self in the upper part of the ceiling floating watching a self who is watching me going about my day. talk about self conscious!

then a sudden visit of this strange sandpaper...

this is a poem by Robert Duncan from GROUND WORK II. I have only a recording of it, but felt compelled to transcribe to the best of my ability. The french, I do not know the french at the end. take suggestions on possible proper readings of that; hope you like. it makes me think and turn and turn and turn and look at the...

Hi! I just wanted to give you a belated welcome to the SG newswire. I'm actually the other politics editor, but have been mired in off site work and so have been more or less completely MIA the less month or so. Anyway, I'm back now and just wanted to say that I'm looking forward to working together, and am glad to have you here.

We are born sexual beings. I have been born, thus I need it. why is this complicated? Yet, somehow, it's missing. Something missing. What to do with this Day!? Suggestion welcome.

The sun came out today for a bit. It was dry when I walked over to the beer station and picked up a Black Boss Porter for around two bucks. ~9% alc by volume and still smooth as silk.

I caught prefuse 73 in San Diego (Casbah) last summer. Two drummers. Battles opened for them. Ian Williams and John Stainer are some sort of big deal to me.

Coltrane, wha?... Mark Gonzales skating to jazz on Video Days? Yeah!

Your handle ends in "pants". I add you as a friend.

So...

and as a helpful hint in case no one else has told you, it is the way of sg that you reply to peoples comments in their journals not your own, it's a bit confusing at first but even i did it smile they have no way of knowing you replied otherwise.
our birthdays are quite a few years and one day apart, neat.

To combat the despair. What they did to you. The unimaginable or imaginable but repressed now made real. What can I do? A better understanding of reticence, distrust and a Will to Fight that. For now, 248 am, first ever listening of Thelonious Monk Quartet with John Coltrane at Carnegie Hall. Sennheiser 580 headphones.

13 miners trapped underground - but hey at least WVU won the Sugar Bowl. Wow. What consolation.

inward a pall. maybe it's the 30 plus days of rain and darkness. no. not just outside but inside. Something horrible happened. Is. Traps and trapdoors. Trust on trial, sent to the gallows and is dropped "down, down." What is on the other side of this?
