This past long weekend I hopped on a bus and headed to New York City for the first time. I was only there for three days but I tried to hit as many tourist spots as possible. Chinatown and Times Square were both highlights. I'd hoped to check out the Virgin Megastore in Times Square but it was closed unfortunately. I didn't really do any shopping while I was there but I definitely have a better idea of what's what now for the next trip anyway. Here are a few observations from my time in the city:
- pedestrians in New York are crazy
- cyclists in New York are even crazier than the pedestrians
- drivers in New York are even crazier than the cyclists
- pedestrians in New York are even crazier than the drivers
- I'm allergic to lemons (really, really allergic)
- cheap shoes and eight hours of continuous walking are a bad combination
- overnight buses are probably not the best option for light sleepers
- one hour with the Polysics made it all worthwhile
Check out the spoiler for some of the pics from my trip. Toisu!
