A good day. Up and out earlier than usual -- even broke fast at home. Pretty productive day at work, as well as with a new batch of record and zine reviews up at Media Diet. Was kinda worried that a couple of friends would be miffed that I didn't really dig their records, but everything turned out OK in the end. Phew! Traded emails with one ex trying to entice her to the Anchormen show Thursday. Traded emails with another ex trying to work out whether we were meeting for lunch or drinks this week. She's been pretty distant lately -- and asking why I seem distant: Um, because _you're_ distant? Harrumph.
Jazzed like a spaz that my Mr. Show DVD came in the mail today. Now I know what I'm doing tonight. Coin toss: Operators show at the Milky Way -- or Mr. Show? Vote quickly.

Yeah, they're pretty damned good. Fine art by Phil Winslade, as well. The first issue is particularly hilarious, and the rest is an incredible satire of Vertigo comics of the last several years. Dunno if you'll be able to find the individual issues (#6 is due out soon) but there's a collection coming in August.
There's a great interview with Gerber about the whole thing at
