I had a great experience over the weekend! All of us have had teachers in our lives, whether they have been the formal academic types, the life type, or some activity based coach or teacher. Teachers teach because they enjoying sharing knowlege and that look that students get when the "light bulb" goes off in their heads and they get it.

I spent the entire weekend coaching an activity that I love in preparation for a fully crendentialed license to teach. As much experience as I have on the subject, I have resisted the urge to share too much of my knowlege until now. I never felt it appropriate as it can be a dangerous sport and frankly, who am I to act as an instructor anyway? Well, this weekend it all changed.

Over three classes, I was repayed over and over again with the looks of "enlightenment" on my students faces as they understood the different aspects and finally grasped the counter-intuitive inputs neccesary to riding. It was the coolest thing!

I hope everyone gets to experience that at some point in their lives...of course the riding part, but maybe even better is the teaching part!
