Well, it's official. I did not receive one soliciation from my 'Want-Ad' that comprised my last journal entry. Except, that is, from the lovely Synflower, but she was just being 'nice' to me, Im sure. Am I bummed out? No, not unlike every other day. But you'd think I'd get at least one crackpot lady's inquiry. Ah well.
So, the week of vacation has turned into a week of doing-abosolutely-nothing. The mountain I bought a season Ticket to snowboard at DIDNT OPEN. Well, it's openeing next week. I could back-country it, but my truck DIDNT PASS INSPECTION. Something to do with the brakes acting up. Although its relatively safe to drive, I can't afford the 150 ticket the lack of inspection would cost me. Neither can I afford the 700 bucks to pay for the brake work. The ironic thing is that If I didnt spend the money on my new snowboard gear and lift tix, I could AFFORD the brake work. Im fucking stupid, I know.
Beyond, nothing else of interest. I've been chillin at the house, literally. It fucking COLD in here. I finally ponied up and turned on the heat. Unfortunately, my place is draftier than a skinny girl wearing granny panties. I invested in two cases of PBR and have just been watching movies, playing video games, and catching up with some reading. I finally read the Origin of Wolverine graphic novel that I've owned for three years (it was stored in a closet all that time), as well as the first 14 issues of the re-issued Grimjack series (yeah, the dude I'm named after). Brought back alot of memories and what not. I first started collecting that book back in 7th grade. 22 years ago. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
So, today I plan on checking out the Wanamaker light show at Lord and Taylors, buying a new needle for my record player, and maybe getting a new video card for the old 'puter. Maybe some drinks tonight, but Im not sure. Ill have to budget again, and figure out what the hell I can afford. Oh...before I sign out, the previous journal entry is still VALID. Goddamit.
