Just got back from work and feel really tired. I have been off work for 6 months with Meniere's disease in my left ear, something I've had now for 9 years. I'm working reduced hours but it's amazing how you can get out of the habit of working and following a routine. Still it is much better to be back in the land of the living , though having to walk with a stick is a bit of nightmare. I just feel so self-conscious about it. I suppose it will get easier with time and, hopefully, it won't be forever.
Been reading Val McDermid a lot recently, working my way through her Tony Hill books. They are quite differrent from the Wire In The Blood TV series. Also reading What is Good? by A. C. Grayling, a relatively light introduction to this history of ethics, in preparation for starting a course in Philosophy for fun.

Philosophy rocks!
I'm looking forward to the Philosophy course. I've touched on it in the past through studying Literature but never looked at it in depth
