I've been putting off writing a stupid paper for my literature class all week. It's not a particularly difficult one, but I didn't enjoy the stories that much and the assignment lacks the room for any real creative thought. Whenever I have to do a writing assignment I try to come up with an interesting twist on the topic so the work itself isn't so monotonous. Unfortunatly all I have to do on this paper is write a bunch of one sentence responses on a few of Richard Ford and Mary Gaitskill's short stories, blah.
Next week I get to pick out my classes for next quarter which will be fun. I hate how the state makes you take 8 credit hours or less your first year in the state in order to become a resident. Almost all of the classes I need for my degree are 5 credit hours which means I can't link up my math classes with my physics ones and generally makes class selection a pain in the ass. I tested into calculus, but since I haven't done any school in 6 years I decided to start off with a year of pre-calc first to refresh my memory. I'm glad I decided to do this because I have have almost no memory of at least half of what we're currently covering in the class. However, the classes I take lower than calc aren't going to count towards my degree making this first year almost a complete loss for me. At least I'm taking school seriously now and am doing well so far so I can't really complain too much.
On a high note I went to Sinferno at Dante's last night and found myself having a fairly good time. I particularly enjoyed the three hot firedancers when America Fuck Yeah came on. It's probably one of my favorite songs and watching nude hot women playing with fire to it really brightened up my night (pun semi-intended). 6 bucks was a pretty good deal for all the kick ass entertainment I got and I'm definitly going to try to make it there two Sundays from now to see if the face-rocking is a commonality (For a brief definintion of the rocking of one's face click here or here.)

bankerboy:
I don't know that game. Dante's is usually a good bet for Sunday night entertainment!
