woo! one essay down, um....several midterms (including one this morningz) down and several more to go..and another essay too actually. a little barined fried no, that's brain fried, but it's all good right now, 'cause i just got a NEW BIKE BUDDY! YEAH ! well actually it's a kind of old bike- riding home on the bus i passed this bike shop on the outskirts of town where these old guys take old bikes and just fix them up so that they're rideable again-and there it was, oh boy! right in the window, this green and yellow lowrider-with a yellow banana seat and "sweet pea" written on the seat in this like-70's style green writing and green peapod motif- same on the side panel. i don't have to tell you i rang that stop you know and hopped on in to the shop- the bike was a darn good deal too-it was a little run down- it kind of looked like it had been previously sitting outside a little too long-but i took it on a test drive and man is it ever a blast to ride! so i got it home and spent the weekend studying hell out of the books interspursed with listening to tortoise an' painting the bike- just to bring out the green and yellow- this morning i was greeted by its sunshiny brilliance as the daylight streamed down on it. i still gotta lot of work to do though..whaddaya think guys, should i crack open the books or ditch 'em and take my little sweet-pea out for a cruise along the sea wall now that the paints been all dry and the sun is finally out again after days of rain? HMMMM....
yeah i think i'm gonna go for a ride. just waiting for my herb to be delivered. Mega Sweet!
oh man, do you know what i found out this weekend too? my big sis (the bear, the one that just got back from japan?) she and her best pal are moving right into the neighborhood in august! like, 5 minutes away, even!
now i just gotta get my mamma and bigger sister stuffy over here. one of the last times i was in victoria i mentioned the prospect to my mom and she said that sshe had been discussing the possibility with stuffy and that she might possibly do it at some point- stuffy might be a harder sell- she lived over here before i moved here and had kind of a rough go of it- working full time and always being broke and just shitty things happening to her and stuff- plus she's in film school over in victoria right now and doing really well in it, so i don't know. but i think once she's out of school there'll be much more film stuff going on over here so she won't have any choice but to move, heh heh! that would be so rad- i think it'll happen eventually although maybe not in the immediate future.
i've been chatting with this girl at school who as it turns out i have qutite a bit in common with, she was a ninth grade drop out too, did the alternative school thing and eventually got out of highschool through ulterior means-she has alot of the same kind of shit going on with trying to keep on top of everything and getting used to the whole college-level quick paced thing- it's very nice to know somebody else who's kind of had the same school troubles and everything- she seemed pretty relieved when she asked me if i really thaught school was hard and i was like "are you kidding, yeah!" and she's a very genuine & sincere person...and very cute too...
hee hee my herb is here- time for a little smoke and a little ride...you know something though? i think my bike is a magic bike. but don't tell anyone i said that- they might try to lock me up again.
well it's off to the end of the rainbow with me. sweet dreams, suicide land!

first of all, thank you for your very understanding words in my time of crisis! it must be a girl thing
secondly - i LOVE the new picture
thirdly - i love the new bike! i have a 1955 rust orange schwinn w/ a light and a bell and the brakes that you have to backpedal to stop - it's wonderful! i just wish i had a seawall to ride along it used to have only one gear which made it darn near impossible to ride, but hubby fixed it up w/ 5 gears, but it's still no mountain bike. i have to be content to ride it through the park. not too bad, especially when the dog is by my side.
fourth - good luck w/ the family reunion! i'd love it if i could get my family out here. fat chance.
take care,
vega
