Ive had no wild animal encounters this week yet.
Except for this Beaver... no further comment
Technology has not been serving me well lately. Id been having problems with my DSL for the past couple of months. It finally failed completely on Monday morning. I spent the last couple of days dealing with the phone company and trying (so far in vain) to schedule warranty services for two different major appliances that have broken down. I also noticed the other day that the top seal on my 4 foot high (1.22 m) Lava Colossus Lamp has deteriorated and failed. Ive left several messages with the company I purchased that (huge waste of money) from but so far they dont seem interested in helping me correct the problem.
Queensboro (59th Street) Bridge
Im finally back online (as you can see) this afternoon but still doing battle over the other issues. Ive been waiting for service on my washing machine for a month now. Plans for later include another trip to the Laundromat. Oh, joy
Williamsburg Bridge (and new walkway pier under construction)
I spent the afternoon on Monday wandering around New York City. I didnt really have a specific destination in mind so I headed over to the East River I figured that it would be cooler and breezy there. It was so nice that I walked from 37th Street down to South Street Seaport a distance of 50 blocks or so. I passed under three bridges along the way.

New York City is working to complete 32 miles (51 km) of waterfront bicycle/pedestrian greenways. They are building new piers and restoring existing paths that have deteriorated and been closed over the years. The paths on the West (Hudson River) side are already open and extremely popular.
.
Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges
Much of the work on the East side is expected to be finished by next summer. About one third of my walk was on pathways through the beautiful parks that have already been opened. The rest was on existing bike paths.

Its already a wonderful place to walk or bicycle next year it will be amazing.
Brooklyn Bridge
Ive missed everyone here the past couple of days! I know that this isnt much of an entry but I'm anxious to see what all of you have been up to. Im plagued by my share of issues, nonsense and drama but, in general, everything is going well. I'm healthy and happy.

I hope that your week has been good so far
and that the rest will be even better.
Take care...

The game was played in a steady rain from start to finish. Another of too many tough losses by the Sox this season. While i'm not giving up, I can see that they don't have enough to make the playoffs this year. Their future is very bright however for many reasons.
