I found out yesterday that I missed going to New York with my friends on Monday I thought they were going down on a different day. I was thinking of taking the train in, but part of the fun of driving is stopping at Patsy's Pizza in East Harlem on the way home. Saturday night we got there just before closing so we picked up 5 pizzas to go for the six of us two of the ladies were light eaters.
Tuesday I did something I havent done in many years - I locked my keys in my car! I was at the library, swapping out some books. I very rarely lock the doors, and I never leave the keys in the ignition, but...
It was unseasonably cold and very windy (but not raining) so I decided to walk home to pick up my spares. Its about a six mile round trip. I enjoyed the walk so much that I plan to do it regularly, on days when Im not out hiking or in the city. Exercise always makes me a little more cheerful. Everyone I know always appreciates that.
Other than that, its a great week for reading and DVDs. I finished off two books I was halfway through and read a third. Tomorrow Im off the library again to pick up book five in the Deverry cycle by Katherine Kerr. I read the first four back in the early nineties. I have a bit of catching up to do- book fifteen is due out soon.
Two photos one from Saturday night (me, two of the light eaters and friends) and one from a couple of months ago. It was near zero the day I took the second one makes this week seem positively balmy.
