I'm coming off of four busy days - I haven't had time to be online since Saturday.

I spent a few hours this afternoon hiking in Pootatuck Forest in nearby New Fairfield, CT. It was getting late and I wanted to travel light and fast so I didnt bring anything (including my camera) with me. Ill post a couple of more shots taken on Friday, just to make this a bit more visually interesting.

The ice was still there this afternoon!
Monday was as fantastic as I'd hoped it would be! I drove into Manhattan with my friends, Mactalla M'or band. As I've mentioned (several times) before, they performed at New York Whisky Live on Monday night.
We arrived at the 23rd Street entrance to Chelsea Piers rather early in the day. A couple members of the clan planned to put in a full day at work in addition to performing that night. The rest of us had a few hours to kill. The National Weather Service had predicted cold, rain and possible hail - the day turned out to be sunny and breezy. We left the equipment trailer at Pier Sixty and headed over to Caf Azuri at 51st and 10th to supplement an early breakfast with our favorite falafel. A true feast in a pita. We wandered and ate our way around New York for a couple more hours, then headed back to the Hudson River for the load-in and setup.
Whisky live was four solid hours of fun, food and music - and magnificent Malts. Mactalla played several short sets throughout the evening - they were wonderful. The band will be back in Manhattan on Friday and Saturday . I'll be there!!

Of course it's supposed to rain all day tomorrow.
