Holy shit!! DOWN!!!
I am so fucking pumped for tomorrow night. This will have been the show I've looked forward to working the most by far.
Yesterday was awesome. I got an opportunity to check out the Military Technologies Conference that was in town this week. I wound up talking to one of the presenters at my Staples job (we printed his business cards) and I expressed interest in attending the conference and he hooked me up with a pass. Sweet! While I was in there I may have secured myself some pretty sick internships for next Spring. One of them is a company that develops autonomous vehicles and is a regular competitor in the DARPA Grand Challenge. That type of AI development is exactly what I want to do once I'm done with school. The other is Microelectronics Development at New Mexico Tech. Not as exciting as AI, but microelectronics is certainly a lucrative field, and something like that would be great experience.
I can't stop listening to the new Naglfar album. If you don't have this gem, I highly recommend you pick it up. Here's Odium Generis Humani for a little teaser.
I've broken ground on my "ticket to grad school" project, which means I won't have very much in the way of free time if I get as obsessed with this as I think I will. I don't want to say much, but it is basically going to be a piece of software which will "learn" different languages. I'm designing it so that I can feed it pieces of literature from different languages so it can examine the nuances of the translation so it gives more authentic translations rather than the literal word-for-word gibberish that AltaVista likes to spit out. Should be fun.
I have an engineering physics test tomorrow I am nervous about. We're studying sinusoidal wave motion and some of the formulas use advanced calculus which I have not taken yet, but for some reason am still accountable for in this class. Wish me luck.
Hope everyone else is doing well. Stay metal!!!

Which shows off the extent of my maths.
Also sounds like you've got a good plan opening up before you in terms of study and career. Best of luck with it.
Heard a bit of Naglfar and enjoyed; gonna download this and enjoy some more
That's too bad, though.
