Tuesday is just as bad. Wednesday is worse, and Thursday is oh-so sad. And, while the eagle may fly on Friday, it tends to be the longest and least productive day of the week, because we are all dying to go out and play on Saturday.
I really thought the day-job would be liberating (relative to waiting tables) but the regularity of the standard work week is unbareable.
I have become a clock-watcher. The Soviets and the Facists shot people for being clock-watchers. I was raised better than that.
It is fucking hot, too. While I like the heat better than the cold, this is too much. My cat is panting, and the dog is eating about a quarter of the food he normally eats. My almost middle class lawn (it was actually green and mown with nice clean lines) is as dead as a lawn should be in a proto-desert region. This is normal though, I don't know why I am complaining.
I need to get into a graduate program. I need to get a writing sample together -- instead of updating this. But, this is easier, and I lke to complain; if I didn't I suppose I would be proactive.
I don't like it when people use the word "proactive."

magneticflux:
how about "retroactive"? I like "retrodiction".
meta:
proactive bothers me because it reminds me of Prozac, and nothing good can come of that association..
