I've noticed the tendency at altitude before, but never had a chance to really eliminate the exertion factor - I've always been at altitude for just a day. I knew this going up, so Muir was kind of an experiment of sorts... (I know, great experiment).
If I'm not meant to be at altitude, I can live with that... 'cause there are plenty of other opportunities around here to do what I like doing. Just glad I'm finding out now instead of at 12,500 ft. when my heart explodes and my buddies have to drag my body down...
