OKremember the girl I was getting all sentimental about last week? (Shes greatterrificjust not sure)

About two months ago, in the middle of one of our where is this going? conversations, she says to me Just promise me that if things dont work out with us, you wont go after one of my friendswhich I of course promised cuz, IMO, thats really about the skuzziest thing you can do to someone you claim to care about.

So what happens this fucking weekend?: she slides a bev nap with her phone number on it to one of my BEST friendswho, being a stand-up guy (of which, I know only 4 in this entire, shitty fucking worldand my dad is one of them), immediately tells me about it.

The friends thing is a tough one. I don't like to limit myself in that way, but things can definitely get complicated.

Wow, I personally feel that making a promise like that could come back to bite you one the ass but not like that! How unexpected and trashy, trashy, trashy. It was good of your friend to tell you. Was he asking for your blessing or did he know about the promise you had made? I thiink it's alright to date in the friend pool if it's been cleared with the party that might feel lousy about it. My ex just recommended to a friend of his that he call me. I was fairly blown away by that but he genuinely wants me to be happy and likes the guy and knows I have a crush on him. Still I didn't expect him to be that selfless. I found out it was him only because after the fella' called me I immediately called my ex and let him know about it. I wouldn't date anyone he knows without his blessing and I wouldn't wait until it was too late to ask for it either. I think that's what really upsets people.
