My 4th of July wasn't too bad once I got done working.
I'm used to tons of tourists being where I work, but yesterday was just insane... you could barely stand on your own two feet without standing on three other peoples.
The fireworks didn't amaze as much as I was expecting from a city display. I think my former Illinois podunk town actually puts on a better show....the town size triples for the firework show where I used to live and most of the money the town raises over the year goes towards fireworks. Rednecks have their priorities straight.
The party at Harliquin's was pretty fun last night. Met some new people, drank beer, talked about naked chicks...hard to beat that.
Anyways, I get to work this whole weekend, so I'll check y'all later.

but no seriously though. july 4th rocks in illinois. some awesome firework shows go on!
plus it's kind of cool that chicago does it on the 3rd so you can catch 2 firework shows if you're really insane enough to travel to the city in that kind of traffic
i go to waukegan harbour, steves bro owns a firework company and they do their HUGE show there every year. it was awesome again this year
