so its the last day of my summer vacation tomorrow i start classes for fall semester. fast i know.. atlest i had a pretty good summer, could of been better like GOING to the last day of comic con but hey i was sick.. i still wanted to buy some stuff. I keep having dreams where im at the last day of comic con.. uhg well anyways i also went to the art museum where i saw this beautiful painting by dali..
its so amazing in person my jaw droped when i saw it. its so big. i knew dali was a amazing painter but my god that painting is beyond awesome in person. there were other paintings by dali but that one stood out but this was the other painting i LOVED
the exhibit was just called From Greco to Dali, basically art from Spanish painters. there was some piccasos but not his most famous ones. there was one i Loved, there was alot of renaissance and baroque art which i LOVE and also some neo classical and realism. my dad and i really enjoyed our selfs. it was my dads idea to go there yesturday since him and i didnt really go on our yearly trip to some where. two years ago we went to san Fransisco which was awesome and the year before was vegas, last year we didnt go since my dad was having financial trouble since he got fired or well "let go" the year before. it was during comic con when it happened.

so a couple of days ago i passed Alice the madness returns, the sequel to one of the best Alice in wonderland game American McGee's Alice in wonderland. if you havent herd of it, its a 3ed person hack and slash game sorta, the game came out on 2000 on pc, its a dark twist on alice in wonderland. basically Alice is deeply disturbed from something in her past and shes crazy so shes in a asylum, and since shes going crazy so is wonderland. i never really played it untill i got madness returns it comes with the game for free if you buy it new. as for the original i played through the first one and right after i started alice madness returns. but as the original. the platforming was a bit frustrating half the deaths i died was from just barely missing my platform or something and fall to my death, but the theme, and the art design was amazing for a 10 year old game, the boss battles where Amazing. the last boss battle was really good. over all if i could give the first game a score i would give it a 8.5 out of 10. its a amazing game worth playing if you have the patience. but the game play is a bit difficult. but once you get used to the controls then the game is a breeze. but if you want the complete experience play through the first one then the second one, you will understand the story better and theres little Easter eggs for those who played the first game.
ok so for the madness returns the story is the same her past is catching up to her, and once again alice is in wonderland and it is a bigger mess then how it was before, the game took me a good... 8..9ish hours. i never really counted the hours but felt long. the first chapter is like 2 hours. but the game it self felt long. im not the biggest fan of short games but this game felt long enough to think it wasnt short. the combat is way better then how it was before, there isnt as much weapons but they are far more creative. i too a picture of one ill post it i na bit, but over all the game was AMAZING the theme, the ART design are the highlights of the game, the art was just so beautiful. probably the best art design in a game ive seen. but there are some sections where the game looks pretty bad, it uses the unreal engine 2, so those who have played unreal engine games then you might know that the game might get a lil glitchy and some pop in texture lag. the only issues i had with the game was the story was a bit... awkward with the cut scenes. and at first i had no idea what was going on but by the end of the game it all made sense sorta.. there are some sections of the game that really frustrated me. theres a section where you control a toy doll head that had alice's face, it was basically that marval blast game or what ever you call it. you have to guide your ball or head around and platform some stuff. it was a bit annoying at times since her head would berly make it but then fall off the edge and you have to start back and repeat alot.. but again if you have the patience to play the first Alice in wonderland then you have no problem playing the sequel. over all i give it a 9 out of 10, its better in the first one in almost every way, and the art design is just amazing, so is the music. and what i love is that theres a section with the concept art and i LOVE looking at it. such a beautiful game. here are some photos i took with my phone that look pretty decent just so you can get an idea of how the art design is. enjoy
i love the way the waterfall is alice crying to show how she suffered from her loss of her family.
this was the 3ed level which had a really awesome Japanese theme.
i just loved how those just came down the sky in the background like rain. my jaw dropped because it was so awesome
i dont know what they are called but my mom has them they are Japanese dolls but i love how they are crying blood, there are multiple ones in this level. but they are beautiful. i think they are keeping the theme of the crying water falls of alice but instead of water its blood :p
its a beautiful game. i really recommend both games to any one who has been on the fence about it. if the game play isnt your thing the art is just amazing buy it so they can make the 3ed one lets just say the second one ended in a way where they might do another game. i hope so i would love to see where they go with it
