Kapow! Congratulations!
This wedding is going to make me less of a procrastinator. I am all about getting things done. So when my seamstress sent me away on Saturday claiming she wasn't ready after having my dress in pieces for a month, I panicked.
Tuesday made up for it:

Happy birthday!
I just saw your post in the gift exchange thread, and thought this may be of interest to you. My former coworker is a children's author and illustrator, and she is just amazing.

Nice. I hope it was some 92 point word which clarified the meaning of domination, even if there were a few sticky chicken bits on your chin.

Re-read:
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban--this book still makes me cry.
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix--Funny story. I got my time screwed up and only started re-reading about a week and a half before the new book was supposed to come out. I had already read 3, so I wanted to move onto 5, as I was quite...

that's about how I imagine it, yeah :]

We finished it the day it came out.
Got delivered within a half hour of us waking up in the morning, and I think I closed the book at around 9:30 with the girl about 20 minutes behind me.
We figured there was no way to avoid spoilers in the media for much longer than a day, and didn't want to take the risk!

Reading: Edison & the Electric Chair.
Did you know electrocution means nothing etymologically and is in fact just a combination of electro and execution? We could have just as easily been calling death by electricity dynamort or electrosiesta.

That looks intersting, though I'm a bit behind on the books I already have at present.
Dynamort is kind of catchy. It could be a good band name.

I will from now on refer to it as electrosiesta. It sounds like a spa treatment.

Have you read Salt: A World History? Equally interesting.
Those pictures look like there's more of you. That would probably be a good thing.
Did I show you the picture of the burger I ate in San Francisco? It had an egg in it. I now require all of my burgers have an egg in it.

Behold.
I saw it on the menu at a late night burger joint in San Francisco and me being the burger afficionado I am had to try it. It must be a West Coast thing because I've since ordered it at three difference places here in town, two within walking distance. It's like having breakfast and lunch in one meal. Convenient and tasty!
Motorcycles aren't all that fun. They're big and heavy and expensive and require lots of shifting. Mopeds on the other hand (the kind in Erin's last set) are the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Reading:
The Emperor by Ryszard Kapuscinski.
Read:
The Pursuit of Love by Nancy Mitford. Very engaging, but the ending was a bit abrupt and disappointing. I'm extremely picky about endings. A good many books have been ruined for me in the last few pages if not last few lines.
Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls. Would probably be George W.'s favourite book if...
