hello world of porn! how are you today? school is kicking my ass, and it is like what, the second week? i am already behind on reading. why is it that people who love to read, such as myself, cannot seem to keep up with assigned reading? why is it that even when a book is fucking awesome, being forced to read it dulls its sparkle so? i a currently reading "sex with queens" for pleasure, the newly published companion to "sex with kings". they are non-fiction books detailing adultery amoung european royalty-- fucking incredible reads! i was just watching "marie antoinette", as the spirit of the book so moved me, even though that movie was an utter and complete pile of shit, albeit a stunningly beautiful one. i am also taking ballet this term, so my life has pretty much become classic european themed.
except for other stuff, like studying spanish, health (why is health a requirement? so weird), bookmaking and classic lit. yes, general classic lit, a collection, for my editing and publishing class. i am ashamed to have not read so many important things! yesterday i read " a clean, well lighted place" by hemingway for the first time. apparently popularity doesn't make something totally worthless. time to drop my 13-year-old attitude.
and speaking of changing, i have ruined my eyesight by spending years doing close-up work, like reading, loking at the computer, knitting and sewing. i just got my first pair of glasses! :
also, to introduce myself, here is my most recent tattoo:
and here is my boyfriends! we met in mythology class, and are both obsessed with trickster figures in myth. rabbit and coyote are two such figures. here is my honey bunnny:
and here is just me:
i moved to portland a little over two years ago from seattle. i just turned 21, but feel i have done most of the drinking in my life already. i am a vegetarian, i go to and work at community college, and am trying to move on to get a degree in mythology and folklore. because i am absolutely ridiculous. i am usually more fun than this. i am having a bad day.
so call me gingrrrr, babby.
